Mentoring Program on pause

In 2020, we ran a mentoring program, aimed at connecting more junior women in Learning Theory and their more senior peers (all genders). We received more than 100 applications from mentees and 30+ applications from mentors. We received great feedback and we are truly grateful for everyone involved.

This program was only possible thanks to many hours of work committed by our team of volunteers and, we must admit, was slightly victim of its success. We paused this initiative as we search for a good way to scale it in the future. Please reach out to us if you want to get involved or if you have ideas.

Postdoctoral Fellowship -- USA -- Foundations of Data Science Institute

The Foundations of Data Science Institute (FODSI), funded by the National Science Foundation TRIPODS program, is announcing a competitive postdoctoral fellowship. FODSI is a collaboration between UC Berkeley and MIT, partnering with Boston University, Northeastern University, Harvard University, Howard University and Bryn Mawr College. It provides a structured environment for exploring interdisciplinary research in foundations of Data Science spanning Mathematics, Statistics, Theoretical Computer Science and other fields.

We are looking for multiple postdoctoral team members who will collaborate with FODSI researchers at one or more of the participating institutions.
